Valence Changers are Moramian Quantum Minions from Protaxx. They use valence electrons to render projectiles completely ineffctive.

Strategy[]
Valence Changers are masters of annoyence. You can't really get near enough to hit them with a melee attack, and they have enough Health to absorb quite a bit of ranged punishment. They are kind of sacrifishial. You can only hit them with ranged attacks, but you can't hit any other targets with those attacks making the Changers a major target.
Of course, this is all rendered moot if you bring along a Hero like Archimedes, who can just activate Gear Salvo, nuking anyone that comes in range. Zamph also works well, as Fume Blast, his Basic Attack, fires a line, not a projectile.
